ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - As the 2025 regular season for softball in the CCAA has concluded, the season's final weekly awards were announced on Monday by the conference office. For the third time this season, and the second time in as many weeks, Marissa Quintero has been named FloCollege/CCAA Pitcher of the Week for her performances in the circle from April 21-27.

SAN MARCOS, Calif. — No. 13 Cal State East Bay softball wrapped up a memorable 2025 regular season in winning fashion on Saturday at CSUSM Softball Field, sweeping No. 25 Cal State San Marcos with 5-4 and 7-1 victories. While the Pioneers already clinched the CCAA Regular Season title before Saturday, East Bay finished the regular season with 38 wins — one of the best seasons in program history.

SAN MARCOS, Calif. — On a historic Friday afternoon at the CSUSM Softball Field, No. 13 Cal State East Bay secured the 2025 CCAA Regular Season Championship with a 5-2 victory in game one against No. 25 Cal State San Marcos. The win guaranteed the Pioneers the No. 1 seed in next week's CCAA Tournament and their first-ever CCAA regular-season title. East Bay capped the day with a hard-fought 2-1 loss in nine innings in the second game, but the opening triumph ensured their place in program history.

History could be in the making this week for Pioneer Athletics. Both golf teams will play in the final round of the CCAA Championships in pursuit of a conference title, while softball is just one win away from clinching the CCAA regular season title for the first time. Baseball will play its final regular season road series this coming weekend as well.

The Pioneers edged the Wildcats 5-4 in a comeback win in the opener and walked off with a 1-0 victory in 10 innings in the second game, fueled by a masterful performance in the circle by Marissa Quintero.

The final home softball series takes place this week, along with a home baseball series, the track teams go to separate meets and next Monday through Wednesday, both golf teams will compete for a CCAA Championship in Santa Barbara.
