SAN FRANCISCO — The Cal State East Bay's men's cross country team finished fourth out of 12 scoring teams at the SF State Invitational held Friday afternoon in Golden Gate Park. In perspective, the Pioneers finished fourth among the eight NCAA Division II teams entered in the meet.

SAN MARCOS, Calif. - Cal State East Bay men's cross country raced to a commendable sixth-place finish among 13 scoring teams at the Cougar Challenge on Saturday morning. The Pioneers showcased their prowess on the challenging 8k course at Mangrum Track & Field on the Cal State San Marcos campus, finishing third among six NCAA Division II teams.

This week's Pioneer Spotlight focuses on two distance runners - Cole McKain from men's cross country and Madison Gomez from women's cross country. With two meets on the trails already in 2024, the runners will look for even faster distance times heading into this week's meet in the Cougar Challenge in San Marcos.

The Pioneers secured a commendable third-place finish among six scoring teams, with standout senior runner Cole McKain leading the charge.

FRESNO, Calif. - Cal State East Bay's men's cross country team kicked off its 2024 season with a stellar performance at the Seawolf Invitational, held Saturday morning at Woodward Park. Senior Cole McKain led the charge, finishing first place overall in the men's 4-mile run with an impressive time of 20 minutes, 51.52 seconds.
