The Office of the President is reserving this on behalf of the Chancellor's Office. The CSU will be developing a systemwide NAGPRA policy in consultation with Tribes throughout the state. Per AB-389, the initial draft is due to the NAHC by/on July 1st. We have formed a working group to get things moving toward that goal. We are in the process of planning several listening sessions at select campuses to invite Tribes to collaborate on this effort. The goal is to identify campuses that are accessible geographically and logistically (ease of parking, facility capacity and capabilities). The East Bay campus would be an ideal location to hold a session for the Bay Area Tribes and the other CSU campuses within reasonable reach.
