DAY TWO RECAP: Women's Swimming at NCAA Division II Championships
INDIANAPOLIS - The Cal State East Bay women's swimming team had multiple entries in the second day of the 2025 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships at IU Natatorium on Wednesday. Two individual events featured three Pioneers and one relay team competed in the evening.
- Tehani Kong finished 15th in the nation for the 50 yard freestyle after qualifying for the consolation final earlier in the day. she clocked in at 23.36 seconds in the consolation heat and is expected to be named an All-American Honorable Mention selection in the event.
- Brooklyn Dressel also competed in the 50 yard freestyle preliminaries with a time of 23.38 seconds.
- In the 200 yard individual medley, Kylie Beaudet finished 18th overall with a time of 2:03.87 in the preliminaries.
- The day's action for Cal State East Bay was capped off by an appearance in the 200 yard medley relay by the team of Alexia Fajardo, Kylie Beaudet, Tehani Kong and Brooklyn Dressel, who finished 17th overall in 1:43.01.
The third day of the NCAA Championships, second day with entries for Cal State East Bay, takes place Thursday from IU Natatorium. Prelims start at 10 a.m. ET, and the Finals are set for 5:30 p.m. ET. Thursday's events that include the Pioneers are the 100 yard butterfly, 400 yard individual medley and the 400 yard medley relay.
