Four Individuals, Two Relay Teams Selected for NCAA Division II Championships
INDIANAPOLIS - On Wednesday, the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee announced qualifiers for the 2025 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships. From Cal State East Bay, four individual qualifiers and two relay teams were selected.
INDIVIDUAL SELECTIONS FROM CAL STATE EAST BAY
Kylie BeaudetBeaudet will be competing in the 200 and 400 yard individual medley. Beaudet qualified for the 200 and 400 yard IM in the 2023 NCAA Division II Championships, so the upcoming postseason meet is familiar territory.
Brooklyn DresselDressel was selected to compete in the 100 yard freestyle. At the PCSC Championships, she won the 100 yard freestyle in 49.82 seconds.
Alexia FajardoIt only took one season for Fajardo to qualify for an NCAA Championship meet. She will be entered in the 100 and 200 yard butterfly. She won the 100-yard butterfly at the PCSC Championships in 55.32 seconds.
Tehani KongKong has qualified for the 100 and 200 yard butterfly as well. In 2024, she placed eighth in the nation for the 100 yard butterfly in 54.33 seconds.

- For Dressel and Carlson, they will be making their fourth appearance in the NCAA Division II Championships in as many years. Beaudet will be appearing in her third NCAA Division II Championship.
- The 400 yard freestyle relay team is coming off an impressive finish at the PCSC Championships, where the team broke a Pioneer record in the event that stood for more than 10 years.
- Since Shane Pelton becoming head coach for Cal State East Bay, this year marks the first time in his tenure that four Pioneer individual qualifiers were selected to the NCAA Championships.
The 2025 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships take place March 11-15 from IU Natatorium in Indianapolis.

The Pioneers shined with multiple event victories and standout relay performances but ultimately fell 147.5–114.5. EB will be back in action on October 4 when they head to Reno for a dual meet with Nevada.
