MEET RECAP: Women's Cross Country at NCAA Division II West Regional Championships
BILLINGS, Mont. — The Cal State East Bay women's cross country team finished 18th out of 31 teams at the NCAA Division II Women's Cross Country West Region Championships held Saturday morning at Amend Park.
- Madison Gomez led the Pioneers, completing the 6k course in 22 minutes, 21.38 to secure 53rd place overall.
- Yamilet Deniz (23:15.72 -102), Hope Brookins (23:19.52 - 105), and Jenna Rodriguez (23:26.54 - 109th) rounded out the top four finishers for Cal State East Bay.
Rosie Fordham of Alaska Fairbanks claimed the individual title with a time of 19:52.68, while Chico State captured the team championship in the 2024 NCAA Division II West Regional.
Despite facing tough competition, Cal State East Bay's performance demonstrated the team's dedication and effort throughout the championship event and the 2024 season.
