MEET RECAP: Women’s Track & Field at Hornet Invitational
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Cal State East Bay women's track & field team was entered in several events at the Hornet Invitational which took place over the course of Friday and Saturday at Hornet Stadium on the campus of Sacramento State.
Below are some notable performances among the Pioneers at the meet.
- Running her personal best 5,000 meter time was Evelyn Zambrano, clocking in 19 minutes, 50.18 seconds.
- Among 62 runners entered in the 400 meters, Jenna Rodriguez placed 13th in 56.76 seconds.
- Katarina Muellerleile had her collegiate highest clearance in the pole vault at 3.23 meters, placing fourth in the event.
- Julia Carmona's triple jump mark of 11.58 meters was a personal best for 13th place.
The Pioneers return to action for the West Coast Relays, hosted by Fresno State, which takes place next Saturday at Buchanan High School in Clovis, California.
