Pioneers Win 2024 Home Finale, 2-0 on Sunday As They Near a Postseason Berth

HAYWARD, Calif. - Cal State East Bay women's soccer team secured a crucial 2-0 victory over Stanislaus State in a CCAA matchup at Pioneer Stadium on Sunday. The win strengthens the Pioneers' position in the conference standings and keeps their postseason hopes alive. Cal State East Bay has won three straight matches and is unbeaten in its last six.

MATCH SUMMARY

The Pioneers wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Abigail Kern netting her fifth goal of the season just 2:24 into the match. Mika Sayfurahman provided the assist, setting the tone for a strong East Bay performance.

Cal State East Bay doubled its lead late in the second half when Gabby Rodil scored her second goal of the season at the 77:42 mark. The goal, assisted by Abigail Kern and Lexie Randolph, effectively sealed the victory for the Pioneers.

Despite Stanislaus State's efforts to equalize, the Pioneers' defense held firm. Goalkeeper Ashley Levi made several crucial saves, including two critical stops in the 89th minute to preserve the clean sheet.
