DAY ONE RECAP: Women's Golf at NCAA Division II West Regionals
AMARILLO, Texas - At Tasocsa Golf Club on Monday on a par 71 course, the first round of the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Golf West Regional teed off following a lightning delay. Despite the delay, the entire field of golfers completed the round. And after 18 holes of action, Cal State East Bay finds itself tied for fourth among 18 teams in the regional tournament.
- With three birdies on Monday, Sophia Tejeda is in a three way tie on the leaderboard at 3-over-par 74.
- The only other golfer among the Pioneers currently in the top-20 is Denise Paulsson at 6-over-par 77 with two birdies on Monday.
After one round, Cal State LA leads the team scoring. Atop the leaderboard at even par 71 are Zoe Wuermli from Texas A&M International and Arnie Taguines of UT Tyler.
Round two is set to tee off at 6 a.m. Central time (4 a.m. Pacific) on Tuesday from Tasocsa Golf Club.
