TOURNAMENT RECAP: Men's Golf Wraps Up Regular Season at Hanny Stanislaus Invitational
MERCED/TURLOCK, Calif. — Cal State East Bay men's golf posted a fourth-place finish out of 15 teams at the 50th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational, a three-round, 54-hole tournament held Monday and Tuesday across two courses in the Central Valley. The opening two rounds were played at Merced Golf & Country Club (par 72 - 6,561 yards), while the final round took place at Turlock Golf & Country Club (par 72 - 6,641 yards).
- Ananjan Kaushik, competing as an individual, delivered the top performance for the Pioneers, tying for seventh overall with a 5-under-par 211 (72-69-70). Kaushik recorded three eagles—one in each round—which was tied for the most in the tournament, along with nine total birdies.
- Adam Brangefalt led East Bay's scoring lineup, finishing 10th at 4-under-par 212 (69-71-72). He carded 10 birdies and one eagle.
- Oscar Blomqvist finished tied for 11th with a 3-under-par 213 (72-69-72), helping keep East Bay in contention throughout the tournament.
- Easton Hether had a team-high 12 birdies and tied for 18th at 1-under-par 215 (70-73-72).
- Ryan Calcagno, playing as an individual, also tied for 18th at 1-under-par 215 and led the team with 38 even-par holes across the three rounds.
Cal State Monterey Bay claimed the team title, while Western Washington's David Sibbett earned medalist honors with a 12-under-par 204.
Cal State East Bay returns to action April 21–23 for the 2025 CCAA Men's Golf Championships presented by Under Armour. The tournament will take place at Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara, California, where the Pioneers will look to build on last year's fourth-place finish.
