Cal State East Bay head coach Alan Sue following the NCAA Regional:
"The 23-24 season came to an end today at the Regional Championship. Our team fought hard all week but struggled with execution and battled the burden of personal expectations. Even though this moment is disappointing, we need to pull back and realize the amazing season that this group put together. We had the higher ranking in the West Region since 2019 with a group that included a sophomore and three freshmen in the lineup most tournaments. We will miss Ryan Hong as he graduates this weekend. He was a great Pioneer. I'm so proud of what this team has accomplished and I look forward to the next few years with this core."
Western New Mexico University won the team competition at the NCAA Division II South Central/West Regional. WNMU, as well as Oklahoma Christian, Colorado Christian, West Texas A&M and Cal State Monterey Bay advanced to the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships ater in May as part of the Division II Festival in the greater area of Orlando, Florida.
