Torrie Bowman Named FloCollege/CCAA Women's Golfer of the Week
ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - After a first place finish at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic, Cal State East Bay freshman Torrie Bowman was named FloSports/CCAA Women's Golfer of the Week for April 2-8.
As the Pioneers wrapped up the 2024-25 regular season last Saturday, Bowman was the medalist in the RJGA Palm Valley Classic with a final score of 6-under-par 138, after back-to-back round scores of 69. Bowman led the field of 117 golfers with 11 birdies among the 36 holes played at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.
After a stellar performance to complete her first collegiate regular season, Bowman is ranked No. 41 in the West Region with three top-3 finishes this season.
East Bay finished fifth in the tournament as he Pioneers are now ranked No. 32 in the nation and No. 10 in the West Region heading into the CCAA Women's Golf Championships on April 21-23.
The championship tournament for the CCAA takes place April 21-23 at Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara, California.

The day did not start promising for Cal State East Bay women's golf, who combined for a +13 in the second round, but the Pioneers were up to the challenge of the third round later in the day. And at -5 as a team in the final round, the Pioneers climbed the team leaderboard to finish in a fourth place tie and advance to the NCAA Division II Championships for a third straight year.
