This week, both Cal State East Bay soccer teams are in action, as men's soccer hosts Senior Day on Friday and women's soccer plays a pair of matches in the Pacific Northwest. Volleyball starts conference play with two home matches.

CCAA play in 2025 opens this week for the Pioneers, who take a 3-5 record into conference play. East Bay went 2-2 last week in the Gator Classic. After dropping two straight, the Pioneers finished with a hard fought victory over Western Oregon in four sets to wrap up non-conference play. Thursday also marks the first home match of the season for East Bay.

A pair of road matches in the Pacific Northwest is on the schedule for the Pioneers this week, starting with a fixture in the Emerald City against Seattle Pacific. Can East Bay extend its winning streak?
Last week, the Pioneers won two home matches with a combined 7-1 score. Three of the seven goals for East Bay were from Morgan Pearson and two were from Jenna O'Donnell. Pearson also added an assist, while Kella Folkerts had a goal and an assist in Saturday's 4-1 victory over Jessup.

INFORMATION ABOUT 2025 HOME SOCCER MATCHES OFF-CAMPUS
A spectacular second half by the Pioneers last Saturday in Fresno lifted them to a second straight win, defeating the Sunbirds, 3-1. Two of the three goals were from Alejandro Zarate, as he had one assist in the match. Julian Valle had one goal and one assist on Saturday as well.
The Pioneers have a chance at three in a row when they host Vanguard on Friday in Livermore. It will be Senior Day for men's soccer with eight being honored prior to kickoff.
