MEET RECAP: Women's Track & Field at Mike Fanelli Track Classic and Stanford Invitational
SAN FRANCISCO/STANFORD, Calif. – Cal State East Bay women's track & field wrapped up competition at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic and Stanford Invitational with solid performances highlighted by multiple personal bests and a top finish in the field events. Below are the more notable performances among the Pioneers throughout both meets.
- Julia Carmona won the triple jump with a mark of 11.12 meters. She also finished second in the long jump, marking 5.36 meters.
- Madison Gomez and Hope Brookins reached personal best times in the 800 meters of 2:22.14 and 2:23.71 respectively.
- Brookins also achieved a personal record in the 1,500 meters of 4:48.34.
- Angelique Martinez finished a personal-best time in the 5,000 meters at 18:10.73.
- At the Stanford Invitational, Jenna Rodriguez was the lone representative for the Pioneers, finishing fifth in Section 6 of the 800 meters with a time of 2:12.93.
The Pioneers continue their spring campaign next weekend at the Chico Invitational & Distance Carnival, scheduled for April 11-12 at University Stadium on the campus of Chico State in Chico, Calif.

- MEET RECAP: Women's Track Concludes Regular Season at Johnny Mathis InvitationalSAN FRANCISCO – Cal State East Bay women's track and field wrapped up the 2025 regular season over the weekend at the Johnny Mathis Invitational, hosted by San Francisco State at Cox Stadium. Competing against a mix of Division I, II, II, NAIA and two-year college programs, club teams and unattached athletes, the Pioneers placed ninth among 14 scoring teams in the two-day meet.
