DAY TWO RECAP: Men's Track & Field at CCAA Championships
TURLOCK, Calif. - The 2025 CCAA Track & Field Championships presented by Pollo Campero, continued on Friday from Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium, as Cal State East Bay men's track & field continued to compete. The day was highlighted for the Pioneers with a bronze medal in the triple jump.
- Michael Greco placed third in the triple jump for a bronze medal, reaching a mark of 14.36 meters, a personal best.
- Three Pioneer runners were entered in the preliminary heats of the 800 meters, and advancing to Saturday's final was Eion Daley, finishing third in his heat in 1:57.95.
- East Bay got two team points with a seventh place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase by Logan Phulps with a time of 9:59.82.
- The five remaining events in the decathlon took place Friday. Justin Gauthier finished fifth among seven entered in the decathlon, but along the way in completing the event, he won the javelin throw segment of the decathlon with a mark of 49.86 meters.
The final day of the 2025 CCAA Track & Field Championships presented by Pollo Campero with final events in track and field. East Bay has athletes on Saturday entered for the 1,500 meters, 110-meter hurdles, 400 meters, 800 meters, 5,000 meters, the 4x400 meter relay, high jump and javelin throw.
