Pioneer Preview: April 23-28
History could be in the making this week for Pioneer Athletics. Both golf teams will play in the final round of the CCAA Championships in pursuit of a conference title, while softball is just one win away from clinching the CCAA regular season title for the first time. Baseball will play its final regular season road series this coming weekend as well.

The Pioneers were swept last week in a home series against Stanislaus State. They will look for a bounce back performance on the road across the Bay. Although the chances reaching the postseason are slim for the Pioneers, they have an opportunity to make push that starts with the upcoming series.

With just one win in the upcoming series at Cal State San Marcos, the Pioneers would clinch the 2025 CCAA Regular Season Championship for the first time. East Bay went 3-1 last week in the final home series of the season in which they secured a berth in the upcoming CCAA Tournament. Two of the wins were extra inning walk-off wins by the score of 1-0. And with a combined 22 scoreless innings pitched in the two wins, Marissa Quintero was named FloCollege/CCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.
