Pioneer Spotlight: Lexi Pagani

This week, out featured student-athlete in the Pioneer Spotlight is women's volleyball senior Lexi Pagani.

Well into the 2024 season, Pagani is tied for fourth in service aces in the CCAA with 30 and seventh in the conference with 230. Being so versatile on the court, she has seven double doubles this season. Just last Saturday in a thrilling 3-2 win for the Pioneers, Pagani had 23 kills, her most in a match as a Pioneer. In 2022, she was a First Team All-CCAA selection, and the following year was CCAA Honorable Mention.

Off the court, Pagani is an outstanding student as she was an Academic All-District® selection in 2023 and twice received CCAA All-Academic Award honors and the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award.

Pagani seems to have a steady balance between her athletic and academic management and goals.

"My short-term goals are to get better every single day in practice so that I am able to execute in games, maintain a positive mindset to stay focused, and stay balanced with my athletic and academic commitments. My long-term goals are to keep being around volleyball whether it is playing for fun or coaching a team, and also completing my Masters of Science in e-Learning."

Education is rooted throughout Pagani's family, which inspires her.

"My whole family works in the education system, so being around my parents' work environment inspired me to want to become a teacher. That led me to graduate with my Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and now pursing my Masters."
