Pioneers Wrap Up 2024 Home Schedule on Saturday with 3-1 loss to CSUSB
HAYWARD, Calif. - The Cal State East Bay women's volleyball team fought hard but ultimately fell to Cal State San Bernardino as the Coyotes won in four sets (25-18, 25-14, 22-25, 25-23) on Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Gymnasium.

The Coyotes came out strong, taking the first two sets with commanding performances. The Pioneers struggled to find their rhythm early, hitting just .115 and -.094 in the first two sets respectively.
However, Cal State East Bay refused to go down without a fight. The Pioneers rallied in the third set, displaying their tenacity and skill. The third set saw the Pioneers come alive, matching the Coyotes point for point. East Bay's improved hitting percentage of .308 in this set, coupled with key blocks from Mia Jordan, helped secure a 25-22 set win to prolong the match.
The fourth set was intense, with both teams trading points throughout. The Pioneers showed great determination, fighting back from an early deficit to tie the score at 20-20. However, the Coyotes managed to edge out the set 25-23, clinching the 3-1 match victory.
