Sayfurahman Adds to Awards by Being Named to United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Second Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The United Soccer Coaches announced its NCAA Division II Women's Soccer All-Region Teams this week. From Cal State East Bay, midfielder Mika Sayfurahman was named to the All-West Region Second Team after an outstanding 2024 season. 

Already following the 2024 season, Sayfurahman was named to the All-CCAA First Team, D2 CCA All-West Region Second Team and was an Academic All-District® selection. She netted a team-high seven goals and had five assists. With 25 shots on goal, she was second in the CCAA during the regular season. On September 28, Sayfurahman scored two goals in a comeback for the Pioneers toward a 2-2 draw with CSUSM. With the pair of goals, Sayfurahman would be named CCAA Offensive Player of the Week just days later. In the regular season finale, Sayfurahman had both assists for East Bay in the win that secured a CCAA Tournament berth and elevation to the No. 2 seed in the bracket. 

Her award from United Soccer Coaches was the second from the association in her career. In 2023, Sayfurahman was named All-West Region First Team. 

Throughout her career, she has scored 17 goals, which is tied for ninth all-time in program history. In total, Sayfurahman has eight postseason awards throughout her three seasons played at East Bay in which her soccer performances were considered.
