Pioneers Continue Unbeaten Streak on Friday with 2-1 Win over Chico State
HAYWARD, Calif. - Cal State East Bay women's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to five matches with a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory over Chico State on Friday at Pioneer Stadium. The win improves the Pioneers' place in the CCAA standings as they have their sights set on chasing a spot in the CCAA postseason.

Chico State struck early when Avery Pieri found the back of the net in the 7th minute, assisted by Jordan Brail. The Wildcats maintained their 1-0 lead through halftime, despite East Bay's efforts to equalize.
The Pioneers came out strong in the second half, with Mika Sayfurahman netting the equalizer in the 52nd minute. Gabby Rodil provided the assist on Sayfurahman's seventh goal of the season. East Bay continued to press, and their persistence paid off when Abigail Kern scored the game-winner in the 64th minute, again assisted by Rodil.
