Annelise Garcia Adds to Award Collection by Being Named to D2 CCA All-West Region First Team
HAYWARD, Calif. - For the second straight year, Cal State East Bay softball junior Annelise Garcia received a postseason honor from the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2 CCA). This season, Garcia was a First Team honoree in the West Region.
As a non-pitcher utility nominee, Garcia led Pioneers offensively to their first appearance in an NCAA Division II West Regional since joining the CCAA. She was at the top in multiple offensive categories cor CSUEB including batting average (.364), hits (63), home runs (10), stolen bases (12) and slugging percentage (.647).
For the 2024 season, in addition to her most recent recognition, Garcia was named to the NFCA DII All-Region West First Team, All-CCAA First Team, CCAA All-Tournament Team, earned a CCAA Player of the Week honor (March 11-17) and was on the Concordia Kickoff Classic All-Tournament Team.
By being named to the D2 CCA All-West Region First Team, Garcia advances to the ballot for D2 CCA All-America consideration.
In 2023, Garcia was a D2 CCA All-West Region Second Team selection following an outstanding sophomore season.
