Pioneers Drop Sunday's Match to CSUDH, 1-0

CARSON, Calif. - Cal State Dominguez Hills edged out Cal State East Bay 1-0 in a tightly contested CCAA men's soccer match on Sunday at Toro Stadium. The Pioneers put up a strong fight against the Toros, but were unable to find the back of the net despite creating several scoring opportunities.

MATCH SUMMARY

The lone goal of the match came in the 31st minute when Sergio Valenzuela of Cal State Dominguez Hills found the breakthrough. The Toros' defense held firm for the remainder of the game, preserving their slim lead and securing the victory.

The Pioneers had multiple scoring opportunities for an equalizer, but did not capitaloze as CSUDH finished with a 1-0 win.

The Pioneers sit in sixth place by just one point.
