Ananjan Kaushik Named FloCollege CCAA Men's Golfer of the Week
ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - After Cal State East Bay men's golf won its third straight tournament this fall on Tuesday, the Pioneers' lowest scorer in the tournament, Ananjan Kaushik, was named FloCollege CCAA Men's Golfer of the Week for October 8-15.
Kaushik's consistency throughout the 54 holes helped him keep pace toward the top of the leaderboard in the Otter Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. Carding a 70, 72 and 70 to finish at -4 (220), Kaushik had a total of 12 birdies, with perhaps the most clutch in the final two holes he played in the third round. Overall on the leaderboard, he was in a three-way tie for second place.
Cal State East Bay has won all three tournaments it has entered in for the 2024 fall season, including the Saint Martin's Bishop Invitational (Sept. 26-27), the Wildcat Classic (Oct. 7-8) and the Otter Invitational this past Monday and Tuesday.
The Pioneers will look to continue their winning streak next Monday and Tuesday in the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate in Waimea, Hawaii at Mauna Lani Golf Course. It will be the first of back-to-back tournaments in Hawaii to finish the fall season for East Bay.

Competing against a field of 19 teams, the Pioneers demonstrated their prowess on the par-70 course, completing 36 holes over two rounds.
