The week of February 19-25 includes the final regular season road trip for both Pioneer basketball teams, the opening of CCAA action for baseball and softball, the start of the 2025 track & field seasons and the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout for women's golf.

The Pioneers are coming off a 73-67 win over Chico State last Saturday and have kept their CCAA Tournament hopes alive. The path for the Pioneers to reach the postseason will be a challenge that includes winning all remaining games in the regular season, along with the need for help elsewhere in the conference.

The Pioneers dropped both games last week in CCAA action, but the postseason chances for the team are within reach. Despite holding seventh place in the conference standings heading into Thursday, East Bay essentially controls its own destiny as the Pioneers are one game out of the final CCAA Tournament spot, with four games in the regular season remaining, as one of the teams they are chasing, Cal Poly Pomona, they will meet on Saturday on the road.

The Pioneers host the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout on Monday and Tuesday in Alameda. East Bay opened the spring season earlier this month with a fifth place finish at the LA Spring Kickoff and will look for its third straight team title in the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout.
