DAY ONE RECAP: Women's Golf at 2025 NCAA Division II Championships

BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The opening round of the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships teed off Tuesday from Boulder Creek Golf Club. Through 18 holes of action, Cal State East Bay sits in a fourth place tie (-3) among 20 teams. 

  • Tied for first on the leaderboard through one round is Torrie Bowman, who carded a 67 (-5). Bowman had no bogeys in the round as she combined for five birdies and 13 even par holes. 
  • Denise Paulsson sits 1-under-par with a 71 in the opening round with four birdies, tied for 22nd overall.
  • With an even 72 in the first round was Sophia Tejeda

The lowest scoring teams through one round are Anderson (S.C.) and Cal State San Marcos at -8. Tied with Bowman atop the leaderboard at 5-under-par is Zoey Iglesias from Anderson. 

The first tee time for round two of the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. from Boulder Creek Golf Club. Cal State East Bay's first tee time is set for 8:20 a.m. (Paulsson).
