Pioneer Preview: May 7-13
Men's Golf looks to build off of its CCAA Championship won back in April seeking a strong showing at the NCAA Division II West/South Central Regional in Riverside.
Softball is a proud host of the NCAA Division II West Regional from Thursday to Saturday, and the Pioneers open the Regional with a showdown against Sonoma State in Hayward.
Two runners from Cal State East Bay women's track will look to make one final push to qualify for the NCAA Championships when they compete on Friday in the Franson Last Chance.
Next week, the Cal State East Bay women's golf team will compete in the NCAA Division II Championships for a third straight year as a team and a fourth in a row with a representing golfer.

The Pioneers won the CCAA Regular Season Championship. Despite losing their first two games of the double-elimination segment of the CCAA Tournament, they were awarded the No. 1 seed and one of the host sites for the NCAA Division II Softball West Regional. The duration of the meet is from May 8-10, but Cal State East Bay's only event is on Friday, May 9.
Two runners from Cal State East Bay, Madison Gomez and Jenna Rodriguez, will run in Friday's 800 meters at the Franson Last Chance meet on the campus of Azusa Pacific University. Rodriguez has already met the minimum NCAA provisional time for the 800 meters, but will look to reduce her time even more on Friday to climb the national time rankings to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships later in May.
