MEET RECAP: Women's Track & Field Opens Season at Cal All-Comers Meet
BERKELEY, Calif. - The Cal State East Bay women's track and field team opened its 2025 season at the Cal All-Comers meet held Saturday at Edwards Stadium. Personal records among East Bay student-athletes were reached and a first place finish was achieved in a Pioneer debut.

- Madison Gomez set a new personal record in the 3,000 meter run, clocking in at 10 minutes, 22.45 seconds and finishing fourth in the event.
- Jenna Rodriguez achieved a personal best in the 1,500 meters, crossing the finish line in 4 minutes, 47.60 seconds.

- Julia Carmona made a spectacular Pioneer debut, securing second place in the long jump with a mark of 5.16 meters and clinching first place in the triple jump with a distance of 10.75 meters.

Cal State East Bay will next compete at the Oxy Distance Carnival and Spring Break Classic on Saturday, March 8. The meet will take place at Jack Kemp Stadium on the campus of Occidental College in Los Angeles, California.
