Ashlee Toy Pitches No-Hitter on Thursday as Pioneer Split Doubleheader
LOLETA, Calif. – In a rescheduled and relocated CCAA doubleheader, No. 14 Cal State East Bay softball split Thursday's pair of games at Bear River Casino Sports Complex against Cal Poly Humboldt. East Bay was shut out 4-0 in the series opener. In game two however, the Pioneers won 2-0 with a seven-inning no-hitter thrown by Ashlee Toy.

The Lumberjacks put a pair of runs on the board in the bottom of the second from back-to-back RBI singles, and doubled their lead in the bottom of the fourth on a two-RBI pinch-hit double by Marissa Brody.
East Bay was held without a hit until the top of the sixth when Annelise Garcia broke up a no-hitter. Garcia's single was the only hit in game one for the Pioneers.
Humboldt went on to a 4-0 win to open the series.
Game Two: Cal State East Bay 2, Cal Poly Humboldt 0With two outs and the bases loaded in the top of the first, Cynthia Carrillo singled up the middle to drive in Toy and Alexa Zumstein for a 2-0 lead.
In the circle, Toy pitched phenomenally allowing no hits in seven innings and two base runners. She struck out four en route to her second no-hitter as a Pioneer.

- Toy improved to 9-2 on the season with her no-hitter with four strikeouts. It was her first East Bay no-hitter of a seven inning length. Her last no-hitter was a Pioneer was on March 24, 2024 - a five-inning no-hitter against Saint Martin's.
- Toy also has a 1.00 earned run average, which through Thursday, is the lowest among qualifying pitchers in the CCAA.
- Garcia had a hit in each game and Zumstein and Carrillo had one hit each in game two.
