Hendricks makes late charge up the charts to claim FloCollege/CCAA Golfer of the Week
Cal State East Bay's Peyton Hendricks has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Men's Golfer of the Week.
Hendricks posted a score of even-par (216) across 54 holes to tie for third at the Otter Invitational in Seaside. The senior from Livermore shot a 72 (E) in the opening round. He followed it with a 75 (+3) in the second round, which had to be spread across two days due to darkness. Hendricks closed the tournament with a 3-under 69 in the final round on the Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Course.
Hendricks finished the third round with five birdies. For the tournament, he led the field with a pair of eagles and shot eight-under-par on the par 5's.
His third-place finish helped the Pioneers place fourth with an 888 (+24), the highest of any CCAA team in the field.
This is Hendricks' first career CCAA Golfer of the Week award, and the second for Cal State East Bay this season (Easton Hether). Click here to see a complete list of past weekly award winners.
