Jordan, Pagani and Green Receive All-CCAA Postseason Honors
ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - The 2023 postseason honors for CCAA women's volleyball were announced on Wednesday. Three members from Cal State East Bay women's volleyball received honors from the conference for a second consecutive year. Mia Jordan was named All-CCAA Second Team, while Kara Green and Lexi Pagani were named All-CCAA Honorable Mention.
Mia Jordan - All-CCAA Second TeamWith 232 kills (2.34 per set) on the season and a .359 attack percentage, Jordan was third in the conference for attack percentage. Defensively, she reached 200 blocks in her career this past season and sits sixth all time in Pioneer history for total blocks with 210, as she led the team with 79.0 during the season. In early October, Jordan was named CCAA Defensive Player of the Week. Jordan repeated her accomplishment of All-CCAA Second Team as she earned the same honor following the 2022 season.
Kara Green - All-CCAA Honorable MentionFinishing her career with 920 kills, Green is currently has the sixth most in Pioneer history after 212 in 2023. She had a .203 attack percentage during the season and defensively had 295 digs passing the 1,000-mark in her career to finish with 1,020 (seventh most in Pioneer history). She had six double-doubles throughout the 2023 season and on October 14, had a career-high 23 digs against Cal State Monterey Bay. During all four seasons in which the CCAA had volleyball competition in Green's career, she earned a postseason honor in each from the conference, including All-CCAA Second Team in 2022 and All-CCAA Honorable Mention in 2019, 2021 and 2023.
Lexi Pagani - All-CCAA Honorable MentionFor a second straight year, Pagani garnered a postseason accolade from the CCAA. She led the team in kills in 2023 with 269 (2.72 per set) and in digs with 327 (3.30 per set). On September 2, she had a season high each in kills (19) and digs (30). In total, she had 12 double-doubles in 2023, capped off with 18 kills and 17 digs in the regular season finale in an incredible Pioneer comeback against Cal State San Marcos. In 2022, Pagani was named All-CCAA First Team.

From Cal State East Bay, four Pioneers were named to the team for their excellence in the classroom and in competition, including Alexandria Gloria, Kara Green, Mia Jordan and Lexi Pagani. For Green and Jordan, it's the second straight year in which they received the honor of its kind.
- Volleyball Closes Season With Comeback Win at CSUSMSAN MARCOS, Calif. – Cal State East Bay volleyball wrapped up its 2023 season on Saturday with a CCAA matchup at Cal State San Marcos. The Cougars won the first two sets but the Pioneers came storming back and won the regular season finale, 3-2 (22-25, 27-29, 25-20, 25-15, 15-13).
- Pioneers Drop Friday's Match in Four Sets to No. 25 Cal Poly PomonaPOMONA, Calif. – Cal State East Bay volleyball started its final road trip of the regular season No. 25 Cal Poly Pomona in CCAA action Friday afternoon. In four sets, the Broncos won the match, 3-1 (25-23, 25-27, 25-15, 25-10).
- Senior Night Sweep for Pioneers VolleyballHAYWARD, Calif. - On Saturday, Cal State East Bay volleyball celebrated Senior Night in victorious fashion with a sweep in CCAA action against San Francisco State, 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-15). It was the final home match of the season for the Pioneers.
