MEET RECAP: Women's Track & Field at Hornet Invitational
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Through Friday and Saturday, the Hornet Invitational took place at Hornet Stadium. Cal State East Bay women's track & field placed 16th among 17 participating teams in the meet for scoring. Below are some of the highlights from the meet for the Pioneers.
- Jenna Rodriguez placed sixth in the women's 800 meters, with a time of two minutes, 12.94 seconds, which for her is a personal best throughout her career at CSUEB.
- Tylar Gallien improved her 100 meter time to a personal best 12.90 seconds.
- In her fourth appearance in the 1,500 meters as a Pioneer, Alyssa Escay ran her fastest personal time in the event of 5:04.26.
Next Friday and Saturday, the West Coast Relay take place in Clovis, as the Pioneers are scheduled to compete in the meet. Specific entries and dates of events for CSUEB will be announced once available.
