FINAL RECAP: Pioneer Women’s Track & Field at CCAA Championships
TURLOCK, Calif. – The final day of the 2024 CCAA Track & Field Championships took place Saturday on the campus of Stanislaus State at Al Brenda Track at Warrior Field. Cal State East Bay women's track & field finished 10th among 11 teams. Below are highlights from Saturday's action for the Pioneers.
- Finishing second overall in the 800 meters was Jenna Rodriguez with a time of 2:15.66. It was the second consecutive year Rodriguez placed second at the CCAA Championships in the 800 meters.
- Kimberly Lima placed 12th overall in the 5,000 meters in 17:50.30.
- Two relay teams had scoring finishes.
- Rymiyah Hamilton, Maleah Taylor, Sheelah Carey and Tylar Gallien finished seventh in the 4x100 meter relay in 49.87 seconds.
- The 4x400 relay team of Simryn Parikh, Ashley Trout, Gallien and Rodriguez placed seventh in 4:07.89.
For the third straight season, Cal Poly Pomona won the CCAA Track & Field Championships.
Pending any official announcements, most likely, the 2024 season for the Pioneers has concluded as no performances throughout the season by Cal State East Bay met an NCAA Division II qualifying standard. The 2024 NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships take place May 23-25 in Emporia, Kansas.
