DAY ONE RECAP: Pioneer Women’s Track & Field at CCAA Championships
TURLOCK, Calif. – The 2024 CCAA Track & Field Championships started Thursday from Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium. Cal State East Bay women's track participated in several events. Below are highlights for the Pioneers.
- Jenna Rodriguez advanced to Saturday's final for the 800 meters with the fastest finish in her heat and second fastest among all preliminary entries with a time of 2:17.32.
- With a finish of 25.74 seconds, Rymiyah Pringle-Hamilton reached her personal best time in the 200 meter prelims.
- Placing fifth overall in the 10,000 meters was Kimberly Lima Pardina with a time of 37:33.07.
The CCAA Championships continue Friday for women's track & field. Though the Pioneers are not entered in all events, Friday's schedule includes two remaining events for the heptathlon, three field events, four prelim track events and the finals for the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
