MEET RECAP: Cal State East Bay Women’s Track & Field at West Coast Relays

CLOVIS, Calif. – Cal State East Bay women's track and field competed Saturday in the West Coast Relays, which were hosted by Fresno State. Below are some of the notable performances by the Pioneers in the meet.

  • Three sprinters for Cal State East Bay reached their lowest times in the 100 meters since joining the Pioneers, including Rymiyah Pringle-Hamilton (12.91), Maleah Taylor (12.96) and Sheelah Carey (13.25).
  • Running her fastest career time of 56.05 seconds in the 400 meters was Jenna Rodriguez, who placed fifth in the event.
  • Taylor Linzie placed eighth in the discus, with a mark of 36.30 meters. 

On March 29 and 30, select student-athletes from Cal State East Bay will compete in the Stanford Invitational or the Mike Fanelli Track Classic. Entries will be determined as each meet approaches. The Stanford Invitational takes place at Cobb Track and Angell Field on the campus of Stanford University, while the Mike Fanelli Track Classic will take place this season at Chabot College Track.
