Three Pioneer Swimmers, Two Relay Teams Qualify for NCAA Division II Championships
INDIANAPOLIS - On Wednesday, the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee announced qualifiers for the 2024 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships. From Cal State East Bay, three individual qualifiers and two relay teams were selected.
INDIVIDUAL SELECTIONS FROM CAL STATE EAST BAY
Kylie BeaudetBeaudet will compete in the 400 yard individual medley for the second straight year at the NCAA Division II Championships. In the same meet last year, she placed 14th overall.
Brooklyn DresselFor a third straight year, Dressel will compete in the NCAA Championships. She will return to compete in the 50 yard freestyle as well as the 100 yard freestyle. In 2023, Dressel placed 10th in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle at the NCAA Division II Championships.
Tehani KongKong made an impact right away in her first season with the Pioneers. Her outstanding performances landed her in the NCAA Championships for the 100 yard butterfly and the 50 yard freestyle.

Beaudet, Dressel and Kong are coming off a historic run on the final day of the PCSC Championships, as each had first place finishes among the final four women's swimming events pushing the team toward a 2024 PCSC Championship.
Dressel, Carlson and Parham return for a third straight year to compete in relay competition at the NCAA Division II Championships. Last year at the NCAA Championships, the three were on a team that set a new Pioneer record for the 200 yard freestyle relay and were on a 10th place team in the 400 yard freestyle relay.
The 2024 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships take place March 12-16 from SPIRE Institute-Aquatics Center in Geneva, Ohio.
