Pioneer Women's Soccer Comes Up Short in CCAA Championship Match

ARCATA, Calif. - Cal State East Bay's women's soccer team fell short in the CCAA Women's Soccer Tournament Championship match, losing 2-0 to Cal Poly Pomona on Sunday at College Creek Field.

The Pioneers (11-6-3, 7-3-2 CCAA) battled hard but were unable to find the back of the net against a strong Broncos (17-1-2, 8-1-2 CCAA) defense. Despite the loss, East Bay's impressive season keeps them in contention for an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Regionals.

Three Pioneers were named to the CCAA All-Tournament team including Morgan Pearson, Jaeden Nelson, and Gabriella Rodil. Their selections highlight the strong individual performances throughout the tournament.
