FINAL RECAP: Pioneer Women’s Golf at WT Desert Invite
TUCSON, Ariz. – Cal State East Bay women's golf competed in the WT Desert Invite with the final round taking place Tuesday at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon. The Pioneers as a team finished tied for sixth place among 19 teams.
- The lowest scorer on the Pioneers throughout 36 holes played was Julika Grosspietsch, finishing 7-over-par 151 (75-76). She had a team-high six birdies.
- Mandi Granato finished tied for 17th on the leaderboard with three birdies on Tuesday, for a final score of 9-over-par 153.
- Lowering their scores from Monday to Tuesday, in addition to Granato, were Makena Ebster and Carlota Eroles (individual).
St. Mary's (Texas) won the tournament for team scoring, and Yuliana Yapur from Texas A&M International was the medalist with a final score of 1-under-par 143 (69-74).
The final regular season tournament for the Pioneers takes place this coming Friday and Saturday, April 5-6 for the RJGA Palm Valley Classic, which will be played at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.
