Cal State East Bay Proudly Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of NCAA Division II
In 1973, the NCAA introduced Division II as the division celebrates 50 years.
Cal State East Bay is a proud member and joins all member institutions and conferences in celebrating the 50th anniversary of NCAA Division II for the 2023-24 academic year. Division II was founded on August 6, 1973 following a special convention to classify three divisions in NCAA.
Cal State East Bay is a member of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) which both are founding members of NCAA Division II.

- Lima Pardina Leads Pioneers at SF State InvitationalSAN FRANCISCO - On Friday, the final meet of the 2023 regular season for the Cal State East Bay women's cross country team took place at Golden Gate Park. In the women's 6k of the SF State Invitational, the Pioneers finished eighth among 15 teams (seventh of 12 NCAA Division II teams). Leading the Pioneers on Friday was Kimberly Lima Pardina, who finished 11th overall.
