Cal State East Bay Supports NCAA's Diversity and Inclusion Social Media Campaign
From October 17-19, 2023, Cal State East Bay Athletics, in conjunction with the NCAA's Diversity & Inclusion Social Media Campaign as part of an initiative striving to connect student-athletes, administrators, faculty and staff in order to better create inclusive excellence throughout intercollegiate athletics.
The campaign includes three days with the NCAA supported themes, including "Understanding the Why", "I Belong Because…" and "A Shared Responsibility".
Cal State East Bay Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics Allison Kern states:
"At Cal State East Bay, inclusion is what we do, and it's the fabric of who we are. It's a belonging for everyone, it means we consider all voices at the table, and more importantly, it means that we provide psychologically safe spaces for our student-athletes and coaches to be their authentic selves. When it's safe for everyone to contribute, we all win across the Pioneer community."
The NCAA's Diversity and Inclusion Social Media Campaign first launched in 2018, in partnership with the Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee along with the National Student Athlete Advisory Committees, to create dialogue surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion through various social media platforms.

- Lima Pardina Leads Pioneers at SF State InvitationalSAN FRANCISCO - On Friday, the final meet of the 2023 regular season for the Cal State East Bay women's cross country team took place at Golden Gate Park. In the women's 6k of the SF State Invitational, the Pioneers finished eighth among 15 teams (seventh of 12 NCAA Division II teams).
