HAYWARD, Calif. — Cal State East Bay Athletics is thrilled to invite alumni, faculty, staff, and friends to its highly anticipated Pioneer Alumni Weekend, from October 17-19, 2024. This year's event promises to be a memorable celebration of our athletic department's vibrant community and its ongoing legacy of excellence.
Pioneer Alumni Weekend will feature a Pioneer lineup of activities, including:
Thursday, October 17th:
- Welcome BBQ - Pioneer Stadium, 4p.m. - 7 p.m.
- Alumni Men's Soccer Game vs. SF State - Pioneer Stadium, 4:30 p.m.
- Volleyball Alumni Game vs. Cal State Monterey Bay - Pioneer Gymnasium - 5 p.m.
- Women's Soccer Alumni Game vs. SF State - Pioneer Stadium, 7 p.m.
- Game Honoree - 2024 HOF inductee, Kulwant Singh
Friday, October 18th:
- Softball Scrimmage & Bites - Pioneer Softball Field, 12 p.m.
- Celebrating the 2024 HOF inductees - 1999-2000 Softball Team
- OFFICIAL WELCOME BACK ALUMNI MIXER - Zen Garden, 4 p.m.
- Men's Basketball Alumni Dinner - Pioneer Gymnasium, 6 p.m.
- Celebrating 2024 HOF inductee, Lorenzo Hall
Saturday, October 19th:
- Baseball Intrasquad Scrimmage - Pioneer Baseball Field, 9 a.m.
- Coffee & Donuts with the team
- Hall of Fame Inductee Reception - Pioneer Gymnasium, 4 p.m.
- Hall of Fame Mixer – Pioneer Gymnasium - 5 p.m.
- Hall of Fame Ceremony - Pioneer Gymnasium - 6 p.m.

All alumni are FREE of charge for games, BBQ's and mixers.

- Cal State East Bay Finishes 4th in 2024-25 Hiegert Cup StandingsALISO VIEJO, Calif. - With the 2024-25 athletic year complete in NCAA Division II, the CCAA announced its final standings for the year for the Robert J. Hiegert Commissioner's Cup. Since joining the CCAA, Cal State East Bay had its highest finish in department history, placing fourth among the 12 CCAA member institutions.
- Pioneer Spotlight: Cal State East Bay Athletes of the YearAs the 2024-25 academic year comes to a close, Cal State East Bay saw so many outstanding achievements - it was perhaps the most successful year as a whole for the Pioneers since joining the CCAA. This week's Pioneer Spotlight shines on two phenomenal student-athletes who donned a Pioneer uniform in 2024-25 - Easton Hether from men's golf and Ashlee Toy from softball.
- Awards Add Up for Quintero, Who Was Named D2 CCA All-America Third TeamDARDANELLE, Ark. - The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA) announced its All-American Softball Teams for the 2025 season on Thursday. From Cal State East Bay, sophomore pitcher Marissa Quintero was named to the D2 CCA All-America Third Team. It was Quintero's second All-America honor in as many days, as she was named to the NFCA Division II All-America Third Team on Wednesday.
- Quintero Named to NFCA All-America Third TeamCHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its 2025 NFCA Division II All-America teams at the NCAA Division II Championship Banquet at Tennessee Aquarium on Wednesday evening. Among 56 student-athletes selected as an NFCA All-American, Marissa Quintero was named to the NFCA Division II All-America Third Team, which adds to her collection of postseason honors following an outstanding sophomore season in the circle.
- Pioneer Spotlight: Spring 2025 Stories of the SeasonThe 2024-25 athletic year for Cal State East Bay was memorable and BOLD! And the spring season brought so many outstanding feats individually and for the teams in season. While track & field and baseball had some outstanding moments and accomplishments in the spring, the Pioneer Spotlight will focus on the men's golf, women's golf and softball.
- Claire Sua-Amundson's 2025 Season Filled With Feats, Including 200th WinTo say the least, the 2025 season for Cal State East Bay Softball was memorable and historical, which was a testament to the leadership and coaching of Pioneers head coach Claire Sua-Amundson.
