MEET RECAP: Men's Track & Field at Hornet Invitational
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Through Friday and Saturday, the Hornet Invitational took place at Hornet Stadium. Cal State East Bay men's track & field placed 20th in the meet for scoring. Below are some of the highlights from the meet for the Pioneers.
- Matthew Morgon placed seventh in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, with a time of nine minutes, 47.81 seconds.
- Chas O'Bear was the fastest finisher for CSUEB in the 1,500 meters, with a time of 3:55.08.
- In the 400 meters, Kamron Smith finished in 51.81 seconds for a personal best.
- Michael Greco set a personal best as a Pioneer in the triple jump with a mark of 13.46 meters.
Next Friday and Saturday, the West Coast Relay take place in Clovis, as the Pioneers are scheduled to compete in the meet. Specific entries and dates of events for CSUEB will be announced once available.
