SAN FRANCISCO – Cal State East Bay men's track & field entered only in running events at Saturday's West Coast Invite at Cox Stadium. The Pioneers placed second among six collegiate scoring teams.
- Winning the 400 meters in 49.03 seconds was Che Jimenez. Just two places behind Jimenez was Kyle Byrne with a time of 50.44 seconds.
- Logan Phulps won the 3000 meter steeplechase in 9:50.50.
- The men's Distance Medley Relay was won by the East Bay team of Cole McKain, Nicolas Bawardi, John Funderburg and Juan Cadena.
- Eion Daley improved his time by more than two seconds in the 800 meters (1:54.57) and placed second.
The Pioneers' next meet takes place March 20-21 at Hornet Stadium for the Hornet Invitational hosted by Sacramento State.
