TOURNAMENT RECAP: Men's Golf at Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout

ALAMEDA, Calif. – On Tuesday, the final round of the 2025 Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout, a two-day tournament, wrapped up at Corica Park. The host team, Cal State East Bay men's golf, finished third out of 17 scoring teams. Adam Brangefalt and Peyton Hendricks made the All-Tournament Team.

  • Brangefalt was the lowest scorer among the Pioneers who were entered for team scoring, placing fourth on the leaderboard overall with a final score of 6-under-par 210, which was highlighted by second round score of 68. He was one of three Pioneers to have 15 birdies among the 54 holes played. His fourth place finish put him on the All-Tournament Team.
  • Also making the All-Tournament Team from East Bay was Hendricks (entered as an individual), who placed third overall at 7-under-par 209 (68-72-69). Hendricks had 15 birdies and one eagle throughout the tournament.
  • Tied for fifth on the leaderboard was Oscar Blomqvist (entered as an individual), another Pioneer golfer with 15 birdies and one eagle with a final score of 5-under-par 211.
  • Aaron Lee was one of several golfers to finish tied for 14th on the leaderboard at 2-under-par 214.

Cal State San Marcos was the team champion, with Sonoma State as the runner-up, followed by the Pioneers in third. Greg Mouser was the medalist in Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout with a final score of 9-under-par 207.
 
The Pioneers return to action on Friday, March 21 for the Hot Dirt Desert Shootout at Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, Arizona.
