Campbell, Kabamba and Huff Garner All-CCAA Men's Basketball Honors
ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - The 2024-25 All-CCAA Awards were announced for men's basketball on Tuesday. From Cal State East Bay, Tyree Campbell and Beril Kabamba were named All-CCAA Second Team, and Ramsey Huff was named All-CCAA Honorable Mention.
All-CCAA Second Team
Tyree Campbell - Jr. - G - Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.Campbell averaged 13.4 points-per-game this past season, which was the highest per game scoring average on the Pioneers. On December 16, he scored a season-high 26 points at St. Martin's. He had a double-double on January 18 at Cal State LA. Campbell's 38 steals also was a team-high.
The All-CCAA honor for Campbell was his second in as many years. In 2023-24, Campbell was named All-CCAA Honorable Mention.
Beril Kabamba - Sr. - G - Clearwater, Fla.Kabamba averaged 12.6 points-per-game. At the free throw line, Kabamba made 115 free throws for a .777 free throw percentage. He scored a seaosn-high 23 points on December 7 at Cal Poly Humboldt. He had a double-double on November 17 at Dominican with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Kabamba was the top rebounder for the Pioneers averaging 5.5 per game and 154 total. Kabamba's seven blocks was tied for the most on the team.
All-CCAA Honorable Mention
Ramsey Huff - Jr. - G - Riverside, Calif.Huff averaged 9.1 points per game as a junior. Twice he reached a season-high of 18 points - on December 22 vs. SF State and on January 30 at Stanislaus State. Huff led the Pioneers with his shooting from beyond the arc with 42 3-pointers. Huff's .420 3-point shooting percentage was second highest in the CCAA among qualifying players. Huff's ability to find a scorer showed with his team-high 60 assists.
