HAYWARD, Calif. - Cal State East Bay baseball came out strong in the early innings Saturday at Pioneer Baseball Field, but a seventh-inning rally helped Stanislaus State escape with a 6-4 win to complete a four-game series sweep in CCAA action.

GAME SUMMARY |
Stanislaus State struck first in the top of the first inning. Robert Valdivia led off with a double and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Flavio Perez to make it 1-0.
The Pioneers quickly responded in the bottom half. With two runners on base, Danelle Daniels drove in Camron Grant with a base hit before Jaylen Hodges ripped a two-run single to put East Bay ahead, 3-1.
The Warriors reclaimed the lead in the second inning thanks to three unearned runs. A single and error put two on, and Valdivia delivered a two-run double to even the game. Luke Davies then drove in Valdivia with a single up the middle to make it 4-3.
In the bottom of the second, Dominick Najar walked and stole both second and third. Grant then brought him home with an RBI double to right field, tying the game 4-4.
Pitching took over until the top of the seventh. A fielding error allowed Ryan Leonesio to reach base, and Valdivia followed with a bunt single. After a pop-up double play briefly stalled the rally, Arthur Navarette Jr. singled, then Perez came through again, this time with a two-run double to the right-center gap, putting the Warriors ahead 6-4.
East Bay had opportunities late, including a double by Amayas Lamar in the ninth, but could not close the gap.
