FloSports and the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Forge Historic Media Rights Agreement for NCAA Division II’s Most Successful Conference
AUSTIN, TX (May 15, 2024) – FloSports, a leading global sports media company, and the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), the most successful NCAA Division II conference with 156 National Championships, have entered into an exclusive multi-year, seven-figure media rights agreement to begin this Fall. Through the agreement, FloSports will represent the CCAA and its 13 sports, providing a global platform to live stream events and support the teams, universities, and student-athletes with a robust content engine across the web and social.
FloSports will deliver more than 1,200 regular season and CCAA postseason events for men's and women's sports from 12 member institutions that combine to make up the largest student enrollment in all of NCAA Division II. CCAA schools span across the Golden State, and the conference has a presence in four of the top-20 largest metro areas in the United States: Los Angeles County, the San Francisco Bay Area, the Inland Empire, and San Diego County. The conference's distinguished alumni base includes legends John Madden, Ozzie Smith, and Violet Palmer, who was recently inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.
Games will be made available for live and on-demand viewing and supported by an original content slate, including social media programming highlighting the many athletes who compete in the conference. This content will help fuel FloSports' soon-to-launch college platform which will focus on its NCAA conference partners.
"On behalf of the CCAA and our member institutions, we are thrilled to join the FloSports family," said CCAA Commissioner Allen Hardison. "This innovative partnership will provide an incredible spotlight for our student-athletes, more revenue for our member institutions, increased distribution, and significantly enhanced productions. The media landscape is rapidly changing in college athletics and partnering with FloSports on this historic deal speaks to the vision of our conference and member institutions."
"Our collaboration with the CCAA marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing comprehensive coverage to NCAA Division II conferences and supporting them with a professional media infrastructure," said Chris Keldorf, Sr. Director at FloSports. "The CCAA is one of the top conferences in the nation and its addition to our NCAA offerings will play an integral role in the launch of our new college platform this fall."
100% of the revenue generated from this partnership will be reinvested into CCAA member institutions, the agreement promises to foster equitable broadcast production standards and further enhance the quality of coverage across all sports, ensuring parity and inclusivity.
FloSports college programming reached more than 38 million people in 2023 with more than 51 million live minutes watched for NCAA conference partner events in the 2022-2023 season.
