POMONA, Calif. - The 2025 D2 CCA Baseball honors for the West Region were announced on Monday. From Cal State East Bay, Max Gonzales added another postseason honor to his 2025 collection being named D2 CCA All-West Region Baseball First Team.
Gonzales led the CCAA with the lowest earned run average among qualifying pitchers at 2.70 and had a 6-4 record on the mound. His 67 strikeouts in 80 innings pitched was sixth most in the CCAA. During the season, Gonzales was named CCAA Pitcher of the Week for March 31-April 6. For the same week, he was named NCBWA West Region Pitcher of the Week following a complete game five-hit shutout against Cal State LA.
Already, Gonzales has postseason awards in 2025, including a Second Team selection for NCBWA West All-Region and was a First Team All-CCAA selection.
