OVERVIEW AND NOTES

Cal State East Bay baseball returns to Pioneer Baseball Field for a four game CCAA series against Cal State Dominguez Hills. The rearranged series will begin with a doubleheader on Friday starting at 11 a.m.
 
The Pioneers went 1-3 last week at Cal State Los Angeles, winning the series finale on Sunday.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Matthew O'Mahony – Sr. – INF – San Bruno/Skyline College

O'Mahony leads the Pioneers in batting average (.354), runs (31), home runs (7), RBIs (30) and total bases (72). He scored two runs in the Pioneers' win last Sunday.
 

Danelle Daniels – Jr. – OF - Wailuku, Hawaii/Butte College

Daniels is tied for third on the Pioneers in batting average (.331). He is first in the CCAA in triples (5) and triples per game (0.14), fifth in hits (49) and tenth in hits per game (1.40). He had two hits, an RBI and a stolen base last Sunday.
 

Dwyer Lewis – Jr. – P – Half Moon Bay/Academy of Art

Lewis is second on the Pioneers in ERA (5.89) and strikeouts (29).

ABOUT THE OPPONENTS

Cal State Dominguez Hills is 14-19 overall and 10-13 in CCAA play. Noah Karliner leads the Toros with a .382 batting average. The Pioneers won last year's season series 3-1.
