Cal State East Bay heads to Southern California for a four-game CCAA series at Cal State San Bernardino starting Friday.
 
The Pioneers went 2-2 last week against Cal State Dominguez Hills winning the bookend games of the series in Hayward.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Luke Novitske – Jr. – INF – Pleasanton/Foothill HS

Novitske is second on the Pioneers in batting average (.345), third in runs (30), hits (51), home runs (4) and RBIs (26) and fourth in total bases (68).
 

Brenden Bell – Jr. – OF – Brentwood/Biola University

Bell is tied for second on the Pioneers in triples (3), home runs (6) and RBIs (30), fourth in batting average (.336) and fifth in runs (22), hits (40) and doubles (6).
 

Gabe Tanner – Jr. – P – Danville/Chabot College

Tanner pitched 8.1 scoreless innings for a win on Sunday as the Pioneers took the series finale against CSUSH, 3-0. He had eight strikeouts in the game.
