The upcoming week for Pioneer Athletics includes a CCAA softball showdown between two nationally-ranked teams, a baseball series in San Marcos, track & field in Chico and the regular season finale for men's golf.

The Pioneers lead the CCAA regular season standings and have an opportunity to clinch a postseason berth during or after the upcoming series depending on their results against SF State and other action in the CCAA. East Bay won three of four against Cal State Monterey Bay last week.

The Pioneers take on CSUSM in a four-game road series. They lost three of four games last weekend and will look to bounce back. In the only win for East Bay in the previous series, Max Gonzales pitched a seven-inning shutout and was named FloCollege/CCAA Pitcher of the Week and NCBWA Division II West Region Pitcher of the Week.

The final regular season tournament for the Pioneers takes place on two different courses next Monday and Tuesday in the 50th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational. The Pioneers finished fifth in the RJGA Palm Valley Classic which took place this past Monday and Tuesday.
